GSA Recognition Awards
Each year, the GSA confers awards on graduate students who have excelled in research, teaching, academic achievement, leadership, and service to the University and the wider community. In addition, the GSA recognizes faculty and staff for their outstanding contributions to graduate education and honors alumni and benefactors who support and advocate for graduate students. Award recipients are celebrated annually at the GSA Awards Night in March. Many of these awards are funded through the Graduate Student Support Fund (GSSF), which the GSA has negotiated on behalf of graduate students.
How to Apply
Nominations started in December 2, 2024 and ended last January 13, 2025 at 4 PM.
Winners were notified in mid-February and asked to attend the GSA Awards Ceremony in March 12,2025.
GSA Awards Night
The GSA Recognition Awards Night 2025 was an evening dedicated to honoring the outstanding achievements of graduate students, faculty, and staff at the University of Alberta. This special event highlighted the dedication, leadership, and contributions of individuals who have made a meaningful impact within the graduate student community.
