The GSA represents and advocates for the interests of graduate students at the University of Alberta. We provide various services, events, and support to enhance the graduate student experience.
All graduate students at the University of Alberta are automatically members of the GSA upon enrollment.
The GSA offers a wide range of services, including health and dental insurance plans, academic support, grants and bursaries, advocacy, social events, and access to professional development opportunities.

The GSA Council is the governing body of the GSA, consisting of elected representatives from various departments. The Council makes decisions on behalf of the graduate student body and oversees the GSA's operations.
The GSA advocates on issues such as tuition, funding, academic policies, and student rights. It works with the university administration, provincial and federal governments, and other organizations to represent the interests of graduate students.
The GSA hosts a variety of events, including orientations, social gatherings, workshops, and the annual Awards Night Ceremony. Events are designed to build community, provide resources, and enhance the graduate student experience.
