GSA Board
The Graduate Students' Association Board (GSAB) is a vital part of our organization's governance structure. The GSA Board is responsible for the strategic oversight and decision-making processes that guide the GSA's operations and initiatives. Comprising elected representatives from the graduate student community, the Board works diligently to represent the interests and advocate for the rights of all graduate students at the University of Alberta.
What We Do
The GSA Board's key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning: Developing and overseeing the implementation of long-term goals and strategies to enhance the graduate student experience.
- Policy Development: Creating and revising policies that govern the GSA's operations and services.
- Advocacy: Representing graduate students' interests to the university administration, provincial and federal governments, and other external organizations.
- Financial Oversight: Managing the GSA's budget and financial resources to ensure sustainability and effective use of funds.
- Community Building: Organizing and supporting events and initiatives that foster a strong sense of community among graduate students.
