Strategic Workplan

Each spring the GSA student executives work with the GSA Board to produce a Strategic Work Plan (SWP). The SWP is the document that steers and prioritizes the work and initiatives of the GSA. The GSA sees this as a living document, shifting directions as needed as the provincial, federal, and University landscapes change. It is developed annually with reference to the Strategic Work Plans of previous GSA Boards, and provides a planning document for this and future years. The SWP reflects the GSA's vision and mission to advocate for all graduate students to the University of Alberta and the Alberta Government for a safe, supportive, respectful, accessible, and inclusive community that fosters the multi-faceted roles played by graduate students.

2024-2025

This year's elected student executives began their term on 1 May 2024 and began the consultation process with a town hall on 9 May 2024. They also engaged in consultation with GSA Council at the monthly meeting on 27 May 2024. The feedback collected from this consultation process was instrumental in the development of the SWP, which was approved by GSA Council on 24 June 2024. The finalized version of the SWP is as seen below and will be shown to GSA members at the next Town Hall on September 19th at 1-16 Triffo Hall at 12:00pm (noon).
