Adrien Lam
2026 - 2027 Term
I’m Adrien, a first-year Master’s student in Surgery! During my undergraduate time here, I became deeply involved in student governance and community advocacy. I previously served as the Students’ Union (SU) Undergraduate Representative on the University Board of Governors, where I represented over 35,000+ students and sat on multiple Board and committees. Through that role, I worked on key issues our students wanted such as housing/tuition, affordability, safety, food insecurity, and student support across North Campus, Campus Saint-Jean, and Augustana. Beyond the Board, I have and still serve as President of several student organizations, alongside leadership roles in equity-focused initiatives. I have previously developed a data-informed platform to better capture student concerns/experiences, and have spent time the last year learning to navigate institutional systems to inform policy initiatives. One thing I have learned through all of this is that I am very motivated by tangible change. Yes, big wins are great, but I also value the small improvements, even if change is temporary. I hope that the impact I made during my time with the SU shows the kind of advocate I can be, and can earn your vote this coming February.
